Here is a word from Kiah Park’s special Camp kids………..Blog by: Tilda, Isabella and Leigh (Horse Camp on 7 – 14 July 2014)
Our week long camp at Kiah Park in Queensland was amazing. The scenery is spectacular and so is the food. The Supervisors truly are “super”, they are always ready to help you when you need them. The day you get to Kiah Park you have a test ride in the arena. Then on Sunday you get assigned a horse to suit your riding ability. You go on two horse trails into the hills and it is such fun. There are certain spots where you can trot and canter your horse and you go 1 at a time so you don’t run over each other. There are also many animals to care for after the rides, these are goats, chickens, pigs and cows. Throughout the week there are loads of awesome activities. Survivor is a series of challenges and there are teams, the winning team at the end gets chocolate! There is also a Talent Night where you share anything that you are good at and finally a Gymkhana where you ride your horse to get the best time in an event – it is a great day full of fun. You get to dress your horse up for the Horsemanship award. Then on the final Saturday we say goodbye to our new friends and Kiah Park …….hopefully we will see this amazing place again soon!!
